COMPETITION: Win a stack of hot sexy books

Some people love shopping, but I'm not really one of them. Even at this time of year I manage to get out of most of it via the joys of online, home delivery and just plain old shirking. But the one kind of shopping I do love is book shopping. I find it is one kind of shopping where online and mail order just aren’t the same. I'm an incurable book-fondler. Mmm.

However, one thing that probably could tempt me out of a bookshop would be getting those books for free. Mmm, free books, my favourite kind. Especially a stack of hot sexy books by all my favourite Lust Bites authors.

And that is just what we have here. A Christmas present from us to you to celebrate everything that is wonderful right now - from the launch of Lust Bites, to the stupendous performance of many of our authors in the Scarlet Erotic Fiction Awards, to the US release of Black Lace's new Wicked Words short story collection Sex and Shopping – featuring many Lust Biters – we are offering, yes, free books. We have two sets of the following 8 fabulous books:

  • My own Equal Opportunities a deviant novel about fetishism, disability and sexuality - winner of the Scarlet Award for best female domination scene.
  • Madelynne Ellis's smoking hot goth-wedding set Dark Designs - winner of the Scarlet Award for best male-male scene
  • BDSM queen Portia da Costa's Continuum – a black lace classic about a sexy secret society and one of the best selling BL titles ever!
  • Nikki Magennis's Circus Excite – a beautiful and very hot book full of magic and wonder and smut. Literary erotica. In a good way – a really good way
  • Janine Ashbless's Burning Bright – one of the first of Black Lace's brand new and very exciting paranormal erotica line
  • Wild Card by Madeleine Moore – I've not read this one yet but I plan to as it was the winner of the Scarlet Award for best oral scene. Yum.
  • Asking for Trouble by Kristina Lloyd - an edgy, seedy-sexy book about the darkest sexual fantasies – winner of the Scarlet Award for best female submission scene
  • And finally the appropriately titled short story collection, Sex and Shopping, a fab (and bright pink) book that will even satisfy those of you that loathe shopping with a passion, featuring Lust Biters Portia da Costa, Madelynne Ellis, Kate Pearce, Kristina Lloyd and, yay, me.

So, to win all of these books and keep yourself sizzling in hot, hot literature until the weather gets warm again just drop us a comment. It doesn’t matter what you say. In fact, as it's Xmas, we don’t mind if you just say 'mistletoe' or 'tinsel' but pop out of lurker-land and let us know you're there sometime before the 6th January.

Sex and Shopping: well, with Xmas nearly upon us and the January sales just around the corner, avoiding shopping is going to get harder and harder. Taking a copy of Sex and Shopping to read whilst waiting in line might be one way to make it more bearable.

Nikki,
How did you hear about World Orgasm day??? I kept meaning to post about it! We are friends with the couple who created the concept. They live in this tiny town nearby. We're going to their New Year's party! Seriously, I'm feeling how small the world is....
XXX,
Alison

Hey Alison - World O Day - it's been in the papers over here. Please wish the couple all the best, and tell them sorry, we kind of screwed up the timing but did selflessly offer up an orgasm to world peace anyway... ; )

After seeing what happened to the "Girl with the one track mind" I think you guys had better be careful after winning prizes in Britain. But cheeers to all of you!

Of course, like so many others, I'm here commenting in honour of Alison Tyler. And if any of you don't already read her blog, be sure to check it out soon -- The blog's title "Trollop with a Laptop" fails to do her justice. But then, justice is certainly not what her blog is about anyway.

I don't like to shop for anything other than books. I can usually be found at Borders at least once a week and I'm always browsing the Amazon site. The list of books that I want to read is long and now I see a whole bunch more that I'd like right in the photo up above.

I hope everyone has a great holiday!

Singing for my supper of books:

"He smiled at me, crinkly and fresh as a crumpled white wool jumper. It was a bit frustrating that his English wasn't exactly up to par, as my usual arch wit and dry repartee were tumbleweeds blown along the desert of his comprehension. Then again, my Spanish consisted of "cheese", "forest", and "dead", so I wasn't in a position to criticise. Nor was I in the position I wished.

Contrary to popular belief, most teachers try extremely hard not to sleep with their students. Teaching English as a foreign language, all to adults, it's not the paedophilia thing that's such a problem as the sheer awkwardness of it. It's not easy to put people in pairs to talk about what they would do if they won a million dollars if you keep having flashbacks of one of them naked above you, muscles standing with strain, thrusting in time to your wild gasps... I didn't know if I were having flashbacks or flashforwards, but I was damn straight having flashes and flushes left right and centre. I did what any teacher would do, in the circumstances. I abruptly graduated him to the next level, where his miraculous eyes would no longer derail my train of thought. (Have you ever tried to explain the future perfect while Spanish eyes promise nails down your spine? Exactly.)

But then - there are always the special students, the ones who get to go to the teachers' pub. Mingle with the natives, as it were. I didn't elect him to our select conclave, but there he was, Friday after Friday, buying bottles of red wine, smiling crinkle-eyed, smooth-cheeked, and as glowing as my eyes as they skittered abruptly over him. And there was I, without my linguistic wit to fall back on, relying only on the never-quite-secure charms of my putative physical beauty. Friday night - eight p.m. (by teacher-time, that's five hours of solid drinking, mind) and everyone's scarpered but me, and him. It's coat time. Walk home time. And all I can think about is that my curves are a bit too soft, and there's a book in Borders called "He's Just Not That Into You", and maybe if he were interested he might not be wrapping his scarf around his neck, but might choose to linger..."

/to be continued...

/cont... from above

"We both tried to follow each other out the pub, which proved awkward. Outside was dark, exquisitely cold, filled with twinkling little lights and blooming with misty street lamps. I turned to him, where he still stood facing me and smiling. I felt the rushing plunge of my stomach into first fire and then ice, and what anyone, in my shoes, would have done.
"Cold, isn't it?" I said. "Lovely evening, though. So nice to see everyone. Well, you take care then. Great to see you. I'd better be off. Merry Christmas - oh, and I probably won't see you before, so Happy New Year, as well! Anyway, I'd best get going."
I rattled through my entire repertoire of social parting comments, a one-woman textbook of Functions for Leaving. That he probably caught at best five words of my machine-gun patter hardly mattered. I was filling the silence.
"Well, I'll be off then, hope you have a lovely holiday. Safe trip home!" I continued, "I'm walking this way, where are you headed?"
He looked at me blankly. I took a deep breath and said slowly and clearly, "My house is that way," gesturing southwards. "Where is your house?"
"That way," he said, pointing south.
"Well, we can walk together for a bit then," I jabbered brightly. Our steps fell into synch along the damp and glistening pavement. I fell silent, a state I detest. My nerves, which usually take refuge in a stream of pacy auto-witter, were left to tear my stomach into little pieces and contemplate endlessly the act of taking his arm.
"So," he said. I'd taught him to introduce subjects of conversation with that word, a few months back. "Where are you going for Christmas?" Present continuous for arrangements - correct social question - I felt a burst of pride alongside the ache that was melting my thighs."

(to be cont - anyone feel free to add some if you fancy. A game the whole family can play...)
