Progress!

Delighted to see so many wonderful authors here!

I've started to add some links - bear with me while I work out how to work the um, widgets. (And thanks to Portia Da Costa, who, it turns out, is an IT wizard as well as a top-notch smut writer.) Soon we hope to have a banner, or a flag of the republic.

Just to whet your appetites, here's a dreamy picture of a Pop Band now sadly consigned to the wet dream of history. If you look closely you might spot a familiar face...(and I might just have committed career suicide).

Anybody else care to try posting something? Go on, go on, go on! You girls can start chatting while I fiddle with the carburettor.

Is that you in the band, Nikki? How cool is that? I always wanted to be pop star, and I looked fabboo holding a guitar... but alas I couldn't play and I was an even worse singer!

Glad the instruction thingies worked... we'll muddle through somehow. I took the liberty of putting EMS at the top as it seemed we were posting in alphabetically order of author surname... or am I just trying it on? LOL

HA!!!!!!!!!!!!! Adam's going to be SOOO pissed off! It's him, in the picture, but I won't tell you which one.

He said someone else thought he was a girl.

Anyway, put it where you like doll, there's no rhyme nor reason to my egalitarian posting. I've slapped up some of the links - and Madelynne's has gone all skinny.

Eva such a pro, eh?

By hook or by crook it'll get spiffed up somehow.
; )

Holy crap, I thought that the girl was you, Nikki... need to get a new prescription in my glasses.

Oh, so that's Adam with hair, eh?

ps. have decided to change my name and be 'Portia'... as an experiment.

Ah, I guessed it was Adam. Knew he'd been in band. The question is, where on earth did you find that picture?

Right, that's knackered me. Off to bed! Will fix all the bugs...soon.

I love this picture! But I'm an admitted hair band junkie... It's just what happens when you lived in L.A. in the late 80s.

Adam may just start regretting he ever encouraged us to get blogging.

Oh, good God! You found a pic of THE band?

Hi Michelle!

I so enjoyed the discussion the other day... It was amazing to be able to "talk" with people from California to London.

XXX, Alison

Career suicide? I think not! He loves showing those pics off. LOL For an even greater in-depth look at his lust for 80s metal, check out his excellent horror novel, Banquet for the Damned. M R James is alive and well and editing kinky books in London. Though here's an even better caricature:

"Good morning, Angels."
"Good morning, Adam!"
"Today I'd like you to start a group blog..."

I worry I have accidental Farrah hair. I'd rather be the brunette that always looked a little bit like someone had just done something rather salacious off-camera.

Yes, but what's the NAME of the band so I can start haunting obscure sites to find a CD?

(Also one who lusts for hair bands, as well as follows Styx around the world--65 shows so far!)

Guys with long hair ... Mmmmm.

Thanks Nikki. This is the most exposure we ever had. Sadly, we looked better than we sounded too. In-fighting over girls and who had the longest hair, I seem to remember, split us up. Never recorded - we were Annie Hall (punk metal) and then The Colt Heroes (sleaze metal) and lasted for about seven years - but played quite a few gigs in clubs and pubs in Birmingham circa early nineties. Off stage it was Motley Crue in a microscosm - we were pretty decadent. And yes, I used to wear eyeliner and even went to work like that every day - it wasn't a costume, it was a way of life. Once a rock star, always a rock star. Oh, and I was the girl at the front. I feel a reformation coming on!

Adam! You made it. Delighted to see you here...

We need some males to even up the balance. Perhaps you can demonstrate how a gent comports himself on a site like this...
