Tease is the right word for the excerpts you posted, Kate. Isn't it odd how women routinely reject the advances of men, yet if we are refused, even once, it's a disaster?<BR/>True, in life and in romantic fiction.<BR/><BR/>Where have all the cowboys gone indeed. I don't think it's a coincidence that Lust Bites winds down as the Cheek and Historical fiction at Virgin/Random House winds down.<BR/
